Virtual Business Banker II
About the role
The Virtual Business Banker II (VBB II) is responsible for daily operations, execution and support of inbound/outbound phone-based retention and sales efforts within a virtual environment. The VBB II focuses on retaining and deepening existing complex and high net worth small business owner relationships, as well as acquiring new relationships through assigned leads, referrals, and sales campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Manage and deepen the assigned book of business through relationship management and retention strategies.
- Build and foster a strong team of partners, including Treasury Management Officers, Merchant Services representatives, and Market Credit Executives, to support customers effectively.
- Proactively engage clients and prospects, multitasking efficiently in a virtual setting.
- Navigate customer relationship management software and other relevant applications simultaneously.
- Utilize Sales Relationship Management system for calls, pipeline activities, and sales results.
- Maintain a regular calling cadence on clients and leads to generate high-quality new deposit, treasury, and lending business.
- Assess customer needs and recommend alternative products or solutions through defined sales processes.
- Maintain rapport with clients and prospects, demonstrate a clear understanding of the business' operating model, and recommend appropriate products.
- Refers customers to appropriate channels for Treasury Management and Merchant Service product needs and follows up to ensure products/accounts are opened and engaged.
- Understand and adhere to risk management/compliance protocols within the sales process and in all client and prospect interactions.
- Collaborate on various special projects or initiatives as assigned.
- Demonstrate Capital One's values in interactions with peers, customers, direct reports, and supervisors.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of Business Banking experience.
- Preferred qualifications include 5+ years Business Banking experience, 1+ year of phone-based sales experience, formal credit training, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

- Ability to multitask in a virtual setting and proactively engage clients and prospects.

Pay
Salaries for the Virtual Business Banker II role range from $122,100 to $139,400 for Richmond, VA; $122,100 to $139,400 for New York, NY; $122,100 to $139,400 for Mandeville, LA; $134,400 to $153,300 for McLean, VA; and $122,100 to $139,400 for Plano, TX. Actual annualized salary amounts offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
