Vice President, Senior Analyst of High-Yield Corporate Credit

About the role

Arena Investors, LP is a global investment manager with approximately $5 billion in assets under management, focused on attractive risk-adjusted returns in corporate, real estate, and structured credit markets. This role involves coverage of syndicated high-yield corporate loans for a growing U.S. CLO platform, integrated with other funds to allow flexible investment across capital structures. The position is full-time and permanent, based in Midtown New York City with hybrid/remote options available.

Responsibilities

• Sole coverage of companies in specified sectors to recommend and monitor leveraged credits for the CLO platform and opportunistic credit funds.
• Evaluate full capital structures using fundamental analysis, relative value assessment, risk awareness, financial modeling with downside analysis, and legal documentation review.
• Prepare investment buy/sell recommendations, memos, updates, and financial models.
• Contribute to portfolio management and adopt a portfolio manager mindset within coverage areas.

Requirements

• 10+ years of directly relevant investing experience.
• Expertise across capital structures, industries, debt restructurings, and legal documentation.
• Ability to conduct independent research for due diligence, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Knowledge of CLO constraints and mechanics.
• Self-motivated with a proven performance record, thinking like a portfolio manager within coverage areas.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the highest level of integrity, work ethic, curiosity, and collaboration.
• Established relationships with investors, sell-side institutions, and management teams.
• Proficiency with Bloomberg, AI tools, and standard high-yield data sources.
• Preferred qualifications: CFA and/or MBA, math or accounting background, and fluency in multiple languages.
