About the role

The Vice President, Production Services Infrastructure Engineer role is located in Boston. This role involves protecting critical information, systems, and assets, building solutions, implementing new software and hardware, providing training, and assisting in the development of an overall IT strategy. The successful candidate will manage web, database, and application server life-cycles, including installation, upgrades, troubleshooting, patching, performance monitoring, and recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Protect critical information, systems, and assets
  • Build solutions and implement new software and hardware
  • Provide training and support
  • Lead initiatives and take ownership of projects
  • Manage all day-to-day management of VMs including installation, upgrades, troubleshooting, patching, and backup and recovery
  • Responsible for SAN / NAS Storage administration including SAN zoning, SAN migration, and data protection
  • Experience with Shell / Powershell / Python scripting, Ansible, Jenkins, and CIDC tools such as Git
  • Experience with Azure / VMware / Oracle Cloud
  • Experience with Cisco UCS, Oracle Exadata

Requirements

  • Strong experience in Linux administration with excellent administration and troubleshooting skills
  • RedHat engineer certification (RHCE) a plus
  • Overall 5-7 years of experience in Windows administration with excellent administration and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in VMware administration
  • Experience in SAN / NAS Storage administration
  • Experience in Backup administration

Qualifications

Pay

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $69,000 and $185,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and company- sponsored benefit programs.

Schedule

This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team.
