Vice President of People
The Vice President of People at Ivo is a critical role aimed at scaling the company's headcount and supporting its team. Ivo is a contract intelligence platform used by companies like Uber, Meta, Canva, IBM, and Shopify. With a recent Series B funding round and a 800% growth in the past year, the company is looking to hire exceptional candidates to support its high-caliber team.
About the role
This role will initially focus on hiring the team to reach the next growth milestone. It involves sourcing and recruiting exceptional candidates, as well as building frameworks for scalable candidate sourcing. The responsibilities also include managing interview processes, supporting hiring managers with offer decisions, and evaluating the current people operations tech stack and team composition.
Responsibilities
- Help scale the headcount by sourcing and recruiting exceptional candidates.
- Manage interview processes, ensuring hiring managers are supported throughout the hiring funnel.
- Evaluate Ivo's current people operations tech stack and team composition, and help determine strategies for growing a people operations team.
- Manage all stages of candidate onboarding, from offer acceptance to the end of their ramp period.
- Be the custodian of Ivo's brand within the hiring market, helping to build a public profile that articulates why Ivo is a great place to work.
- Support team leaders in developing frameworks and models for evaluating employee performance and supporting growth and development.
- Identify and articulate key qualities or attributes that distinguish high performers within Ivo.
- Scale the business by hiring teams and building offices in new locations, and support the development of these new regional teams.
- Partner with the Finance and Operations teams to develop headcount plans aligned with financial targets and hiring velocity.
- Ensure hiring plans are connected to revenue, runway, and Ivo's key metrics.
- Oversee state and federal people operations / HR compliance, including training and L&D requirements.
- Manage processes for employee communications and suggestions.

Requirements
- 5-10+ years of experience in operations teams, ideally with a background in building recruiting functions at early-stage tech companies.
- Demonstrated prior experience building people functions from scratch in high-growth startups, especially building and developing recruiting functions.
- Experience managing teams, preferably in a people operations capacity.
- Ability to work closely with executives and department leads across operations, marketing, GTM, and product/engineering to help them build and grow their teams and individual direct reports.
- Experience with creating growth and levelling frameworks.
- Pragmatism: comfortable working both scrappy and structured, and able to work with leaders in the business to determine when either approach makes sense.
- Agency: operates as an owner, taking accountability for your role and function, and ready to support other leaders.
- Growth mindset: comes to the conversation with solutions, not just problems, and is ready to solve challenges with a first-principles-based approach.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive Compensation: USD OTE range of $300,000 - $350,000, plus equity.
