Responsibilities
Media Strategy, Counsel, and Client Leadership: Lead media strategy for multiple marquee consumer/lifestyle and corporate client brands reviewing and strengthening media strategies, refining angles, and helping develop ideas that drive coverage and feature stories with key message pull-through.
Develop earned media strategies in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. In this role, you will do more than just secure top-tier press coverage; you will pioneer how our brand is perceived by both human audiences and Artificial Intelligence.
Demonstrate executive presence while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and colleagues, inspiring confidence through strategic counsel and exceptional communication skills.
Operationalize and organize centralized portfolio media approach and always-on scale of efficiency, sharing and reapplying resources, pitching efforts, calendars, cadence across brands.
Help set and align achievable and stretch media KPIs, including real-time pivots and course-corrections based on changing media landscape.
Actively monitor for media and macro trends as well as category shifts that could serve a major portfolio of CPG, consumer, lifestyle and b2b brands, including opportunistic culture-jacking moments in time for brand insertion and relevance.
Provide proactive and reactive senior strategic media counsel to clients, including urgent media issues or response statements.
Lead media strategy in new business pitches, providing expert counsel on media relations strategies, and fostering innovative approaches to drive client and agency success.
Contribute creative thinking alongside Account, Insights and Creative account teams to generate moments within and outside of major news milestones. Vet and strengthen planning ideas to deliver earned results.
Partner with Account and Measurement leads and apply learnings to future plans. Identify growth opportunities for media work across new and existing clients.
Serve as a highly-visible thought leader within the agency and to client partners alike; continually evolve the vision and POV for M Booth’s earned media capability based on an ever-changing landscape.
Help the team build and strengthen media relationships that will benefit the agency and our clients – inclusive of those within the broadcast media space (particularly morning, daytime, and business).
Effectively manage Media staff utilization and flex opportunities.
Create agency training programs to develop junior talent into skilled media practitioners.
Be a core part of a team and culture that leads with kindness and humanity and knows how to have a little fun while we’re at it.
Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 12 -17+ years of related professional experience.
- Data-Driven: Proficiency with media monitoring and SEO/GEO tools (e.g., Cision, Meltwater, Ahrefs, Semrush, or emerging AI-tracking software).
- Sound creative and strategic media counsel and presentations to executives and building credibility with senior-level client contacts.
- Think strategically, creatively, and holistically about media programs.
- Deep experience in developing integrated media strategies and selling those strategies to current and prospective clients.
- Experience as a media lead in new business pitches is preferred.

Pay
SALARY: $166,000 - 205,000/year
Schedule
(New hires are typically brought into the organization between the minimum to midpoint of the salary range posted depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role.)
Location
NewYork metro area preferred but open to LA, Chicago, Boston
