Vice Chair, Anatomic Pathology

About the role

Serve as Vice Chair of Anatomic Pathology, providing strategic leadership for the department and overseeing diagnostic services in surgical pathology, cytopathology, and autopsy pathology. The position involves collaborating across medical specialties to improve patient care and diagnostic outcomes, supporting outreach initiatives, and fostering faculty research and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Anatomic Pathology Division with strategic oversight
• Partner with medical teams, including cancer services, to enhance diagnostics
• Support residency and fellowship training programs
• Mentor faculty and promote academic growth
• Encourage translational and clinical research with grant support
• Participate in medical education and curriculum development

Qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD with board certification in Anatomic Pathology (AP) or AP/CP
• Leadership experience in an academic or clinical pathology setting
• Strong collaboration, mentorship, and research promotion skills
• Commitment to advancing diagnostic excellence and education
