Veterinary Technician - Surgery

Pay

Pay: $25.63 - $49.19 /Hr
The pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through Kahuna leveling system. We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends. Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for surgery.
• Safely restrain patients for procedures.
• Place intravenous catheters in all peripheral veins.
• Perform phlebotomy.
• Perform local nerve blocks.
• Prepare slides for cytology.
• Proficiently perform digital radiographs.
• Monitor patients during anesthesia or while sedated.
• Perform advanced imaging such as CT scans and MRI procedures.
• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
• Show patience and empathy to address client concerns.

Qualifications

• Passionate about Surgery.
• Experience in veterinary field.
• Unrestricted, current authorization to work in the U.S.
• Not requiring future sponsorship for an employment-based green card.

Schedule

• Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = $4.50 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $4.50 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $8.00 Shift Differential
