Veterinary Surgeon

About the role

The successful candidate will join our thriving Surgery practice at MedVet Salt Lake City. They will be part of a team that provides a wide range of specialty services including Cardiology, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Radiology, Radiation Oncology, and Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Treatment of surgical cases under the supervision of senior veterinarians
• Collaboration with other specialists and support staff
• Participation in case rounds and seminars
• Assisting in the development of new surgical protocols and techniques
• Providing client education and support

Requirements

• Completed veterinary surgery residency training
• Current AVMA certification or eligibility for certification
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
• License to practice veterinary medicine in Utah
• Experience with surgical procedures and anesthesia management
• Knowledge of medical and surgical treatments relevant to the practice
