Responsibilities
- Treats over 100,000 patients annually
- Provides 24/7 emergency care at an AAHA-accredited hospital
- Works with specialists in multiple disciplines
- Operates a 18,000-square-foot facility equipped with advanced diagnostic tools
Requirements
- Board certified or residency trained in veterinary surgery
- Experience in emergency medicine and critical care
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Louisiana
- Passing scores on the AVMA core exams
Skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
