Veterinary Surgeon

About the role

Carson Valley Veterinary Hospital is seeking a veterinary surgeon to lead and expand surgical services in a state-of-the-art, 15,000-square-foot facility. The role offers immediate caseload support from 15 experienced DVMs and a collaborative, integrated general practice and emergency care model.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced soft tissue and orthopedic procedures
• Collaborate with referring DVMs for seamless case management
• Lead the growth and refinement of surgical services
• Mentor and elevate the surgical knowledge of the clinical team

Requirements

• Diplomate of the ACVS or residency-trained surgeon
• Passionate about high-quality, collaborative surgical care
• Thrives in a positive, team-oriented culture

Qualifications

• Board-certified preferred but not required
• Experience in a similar role
• Strong leadership skills
