About the role
Fresno Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center is seeking a Board Certified Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon, or a residency-trained veterinarian, to join their growing team. Located in the heart of the Central Valley, the hospital serves a pet owner community of nearly one million and is known for its high-quality care and expertise in various specialties.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to small animal patients in a variety of specialties
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for each patient
- Participate in ongoing professional development through continuing education and research
- Contribute to the hospital's mission of providing exceptional patient and client care
Requirements
- Board Certification in Small Animal Surgery or equivalent residency training
- Current AVMA accreditation
- Experience in emergency and/or specialty practice preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an ACVIM accredited institution
- Valid California Veterinarian license
- Passing scores on the AVMA core exams
Skills
- Strong surgical skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Benefits
