At Pacific Northwest Pet ER & Specialty Center, you'll do more than perform surgery—you'll help shape a growing specialty service alongside an experienced surgeon in one of the Pacific Northwest's premier emergency and specialty hospitals. Opened in 2021, our state-of-the-art, 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital was purpose-built to support advanced medicine, exceptional patient care, and a thriving team culture. About the Role

As our surgical service continues to expand, we're seeking a Veterinary Surgeon who values collaboration, mentorship, and case variety. You'll join an established surgery team and work closely with Emergency, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Cardiology, Oncology, and Imaging specialists in a hospital where teamwork is woven into every aspect of patient care. Responsibilities

  • Balance time between consultations, case workups, and surgical procedures
  • Perform orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries using advanced imaging and surgical equipment
  • Collaborate with specialists across departments to support integrated case management
  • Help shape and grow the surgical service in line with hospital priorities and community needs
  • Work alongside a dedicated surgical nursing and anesthesia team
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning

Requirements

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for Washington state veterinary licensure
  • Board Certification in Surgery (ACVS) or residency-trained status
  • Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care
  • A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing specialty medicine
  • Interest in working within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
