About the role
BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital in Chicago, Illinois is seeking to add a full-time, board-certified or residency trained Veterinary Surgeon to an established, busy Surgery service located in Northfield, IL.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced, comprehensive, and compassionate care to patients
- Collaborate with other veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic equipment to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education
- Contribute to the growth and success of the BluePearl Northfield hospital
Requirements
- Board certification or completion of a residency program in veterinary surgery
- Experience in surgical procedures and critical care
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA accredited institution
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Illinois
- Passing score on the AVMA Council on Veterinary Medical Accreditation (CVMA) examination

Pay
Compensation Range of $235,000 - $300,000 per year plus commission, dependent on experience.
