About the role
Hawks Prairie Veterinary Hospital is seeking a dedicated and professional full-time Receptionist to join our established, five-doctor veterinary team. This is a key front-desk position in a fast-paced, client-focused environment where high standards of service and efficiency are expected. As the first point of contact for clients and patients, the Receptionist plays a vital role in maintaining the professional reputation and smooth operation of the hospital.
The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a calm and courteous demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and patients in a professional, welcoming manner
- Answer high-volume phone lines and respond to client inquiries
- Schedule appointments accurately and efficiently
- Process payments, manage check-ins, and check-outs
- Maintain accurate and organized client records
- Collaborate with medical and administrative teams to ensure timely patient care
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and professional front desk and lobby area
Requirements
- Prior experience in a customer service or administrative role (veterinary or medical field preferred)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor, reliability, and strong work ethic
- Basic proficiency with computers and scheduling software

Pay and Schedule
The salary for this position is $17.50 - $19.50 per hour based on experience. The schedule is a flexible 4-day work week with rotating Saturday shifts.
