About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Receptionist who thrives in a busy, high-energy environment and is ready to join our exceptional team. This full-time position offers a four-day workweek with evenings and weekends off, no overnight or on-call shifts, and a supportive, collaborative team that values your contributions.
Responsibilities
- Welcome clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and compassion
- Provide exceptional client service in a busy veterinary environment
- Manage incoming phone calls and respond to client questions
- Schedule appointments and help maintain an efficient multi-doctor calendar
- Check clients and patients in and out while maintaining accurate information
- Process invoices and collect payments
- Communicate hospital services, policies, and next steps clearly and professionally
- Coordinate with doctors, technicians, and assistants to support efficient patient flow
- Manage medical record requests, reminders, and other administrative tasks
- Handle client questions and concerns with empathy and professionalism
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
- Support teammates as needed to keep the hospital running smoothly
Requirements
- Previous veterinary client service or reception experience required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a busy, high-energy veterinary environment
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Confidence communicating with clients both in person and over the phone
- Ability to handle challenging conversations with empathy and professionalism
