Veterinary Receptionist

About the role

At BluePearl Veterinary Partners, our Client Service Coordinators are vital to the success of our hospitals. In this position, you are the first BluePearl Associate that clients see. You will ensure that each client receives the care and attention they need.

Responsibilities

• Greet and make friendly eye contact every time our hospital entry door opens to offer a warm and professional acknowledgment.
• Offer a friendly smile, strong eye contact, and an approachable demeanor.
• Be a compassionate listener and speak clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and on the telephone in a way that clients easily understand.
• Assess immediately upon arrival each client's rare need, as well as the pet's general condition.
• Determine whether an emergency arrival is a "stat" versus "standard" emergency.
• Respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member.
• Confirm all appointments in advance ensuring clients receive accurate information about preparing their pet for the appointment.
• Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients in a compassionate and discreet manner.
• Serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies during handling of pet remains by ensuring a complete, accurate, and compassionate process.

Requirements

Must have Veterinary Medicine experience.

Pay

$18.00 - $27.67 / hour

This pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through the Kahuna leveling system.

Schedule

Full-time, weekends and holiday availability required.
