Veterinary Receptionist
Bedford Veterinary Medical Center is a state-of-the-art, multi-doctor hospital offering personal, progressive, and comprehensive care for dogs, cats, and pocket pets in Southern New Hampshire. We practice high-quality medicine with compassion and provide services including annual wellness care, anesthesia and sedation, dentistry, internal medicine, laser therapy, in-house pharmacy, surgery, urgent/immediate care, and acupuncture. Our facility is equipped with ultrasound, digital radiography, dental X-ray, and a complete in-house laboratory. Our sister hospital in Hudson, Lowell Road Veterinary Center, offers rehabilitation services such as underwater treadmill therapy, massage therapy, laser therapy, and modality exercises.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
- Greet and welcome clients and patients
- Answer questions and triage client concerns
- Answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution
- Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
- Check in and check out clients and process payments
- Provide friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need
- Handle unpleasant odors, noises, and potential exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and contagious diseases

Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of receptionist experience (1-2 years of veterinary experience preferred)
- Compassionate, calm, and strong team player
- Excellent multitasking and communication skills
- Highly organized with strong computer skills
- Self-starter with a desire to advance knowledge and skillset
- Availability for nights and weekends shifts

$18–$23 per hour, depending on experience
