About the role

BluePearl Overland Park is seeking a full-time, board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Oncologist to join their collaborative and dedicated specialty and emergency team.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with 11 board-certified specialists in Oncology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Cardiology, and Critical Care.
  • Work in a state-of-the-art facility with advanced diagnostics including CT, ultrasound, laparoscopy, upper/lower endoscopy, and fully equipped rehabilitation center.
  • Provide comprehensive care for patients with cancer and other complex medical conditions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of oncology protocols and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with the hospital's client service and veterinary nursing teams to ensure optimal patient care.

Requirements

  • Board-certification or completion of a recognized residency program in Veterinary Oncology.
  • Experience in treating a variety of cancers and complex medical cases.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of cases and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Valid Kansas State license.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
  • Current AVMA accreditation.
  • Passing scores on the AVMA core exams.

Skills

  • Proven experience in oncology and complex medical cases.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
