About the Role

An opportunity has arisen to join our fantastic team at Village Vet, Garden Suburb as a Lead Client Care Assistant. This role is fast-paced, high-pressured but fun, with no two working days the same. You will be responsible for ensuring both our clients and patients receive a professional five-star service throughout their time with us. Our front-of-house teams are the face and voice of our business, making this role extremely valued within the hospital team.

Responsibilities

  • Liaising with clients and the clinical team to ensure effective customer service
  • Meeting and greeting clients with an effortless smile
  • Booking appointments and diary management
  • Managing telephone and email enquiries
  • Taking payment for services and products
  • Promoting our Pet Healthcare Plan
  • Completing various administrative duties for the clinical team and the business
  • Managing cash, stock, and client accounts
  • Opening up and closing the primary care services
  • Pet travel scheme paperwork / AHCs
  • Post-op calls and pre-op texts
  • Maintaining consult rooms
  • Uploading/printing lab results
  • Scanning paperwork
  • Meds collections texts
  • Inputting stock take (every 3 months)
  • Some restraining to help vets when limited staff
  • Covering shifts at our other practices in Hertfordshire as required

Requirements

  • Experience in a Reception or Customer Service role (essential)
  • Experience of the Veterinary industry (preferable)
  • IT skills – confident in the use of Word, Excel, and Outlook as a minimum
  • Excellent telephone and face-to-face communication skills
  • The ability to stay focused under pressure and to multitask
  • Flexibility to work on a rota basis

Schedule

42 hours per week. Flexible shift patterns that vary between 08:00am and 7:30pm, including weekend working (1 in 3 weekends, 9:30am–1:30pm).
