About the Role
The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team. We are looking to add an adaptable, efficient veterinary assistant to our team.
Responsibilities
- Obtain accurate and thorough medical histories
- Perform basic exam procedures
- Skilled in venipuncture (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular)
- Perform digital radiology (X-ray) including positioning
- Monitor general anesthesia and provide surgical assistance
- Laboratory skills including microscope (ear and fecal cytology) and IDEXX in-house laboratory
- Excellent client communication and education
- Adapt to working well with current doctors and team members
Requirements
- 3+ years clinical experience as a veterinary assistant or receptionist
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
- Passion for working with animals and their owners
- Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
- Understand the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills

Pay
The hourly pay range for this position starts at $22.00 - $28.00 per hour, varying depending on experience, education, certifications, and location. Additional $250.00 sign-on bonus.
Schedule
Flexible scheduling with 8-hour shift lengths (Monday - Saturday).
