Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist

About the role

The Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist will join the South Atlanta Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center's (SAVES) team. SAVES is a 24/7 ER center with robust referral relationships serving the Southern Atlanta community. The facility offers cutting-edge equipment and comprehensive care in a modern, 14,000-square-foot facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive internal medicine care to patients
• Collaborate with other veterinarians and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities
• Contribute to the clinical research committee and mentorship programs

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree
• State Veterinary Board License in good standing
• Active DEA license or eligibility for DEA licensure
• Board Certification in Veterinary Internal Medicine or residency trained

Qualifications

• Experience in internal medicine
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
