About the Role
Veterinary Specialists of Birmingham is seeking a second internist who shares our passion for patient care and is looking for a progressive, collaborative, and patient-centric environment. As a rapidly growing 24-hour emergency and multi-specialty hospital in central Alabama, we serve a broad referral base across multiple states.
Responsibilities
Our current specialties include 24/7 emergency, surgery, internal medicine, and ophthalmology. Our state-of-the-art, 12,000 sq. ft. hospital (with room to expand) is fully equipped with everything you need to practice high-quality medicine, including 9 exam rooms, 3 surgery suites, an endoscopy suite with GI, respiratory, nasal and urinary scoping capabilities, ultrasound suite, a well-equipped ICU, CT, digital radiography, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, in-house IDEXX laboratory, Ligasure, ventilator, Snyder oxygen cages, and more.
Requirements

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have completed a residency program in veterinary internal medicine and be board certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM).
