About the role

Fresno Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center is seeking a Board Certified Internal Medicine Specialist or a residency-trained veterinarian to join their growing team. Located in the heart of the Central Valley, the facility is just hours away from Yosemite National Park and the Pacific Ocean, serving a pet owner community of nearly one million.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality veterinary care to a diverse patient population
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of clinical practice through research and education
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new protocols and procedures
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of veterinary technicians and students

Requirements

  • Current license to practice veterinary medicine in California
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine or equivalent residency training
  • Experience in emergency and critical care is preferred but not required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA accredited school
  • Passing score on the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE)
  • Completion of a recognized residency program in internal medicine or related field

Skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
  • Knowledge of pharmacology and therapeutics

Benefits

Pay

The salary range for this position is between $200,000 and $240,000 (ProSal model) depending on experience and credentials.
