Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist
About the role
Fresno Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center is seeking a Board Certified Internal Medicine Specialist or a residency-trained veterinarian to join their growing team. Located in the heart of the Central Valley, the facility is just hours away from Yosemite National Park and the Pacific Ocean, serving a pet owner community of nearly one million.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality veterinary care to a diverse patient population
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of clinical practice through research and education
- Participate in the development and implementation of new protocols and procedures
- Assist in the training and mentoring of veterinary technicians and students
Requirements
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in California
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine or equivalent residency training
- Experience in emergency and critical care is preferred but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA accredited school
- Passing score on the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE)
- Completion of a recognized residency program in internal medicine or related field
Skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
- Knowledge of pharmacology and therapeutics
Benefits

Pay
The salary range for this position is between $200,000 and $240,000 (ProSal model) depending on experience and credentials.
