Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist
About the role
Town & Country Animal Clinic is seeking an Internist to join our team in Brookings, Oregon. We are an expanding practice on the beautiful southern Oregon Coast with access to the beach, redwoods, and wild coastal rivers. Hiking, surfing, fishing, and outdoor activities are among the attractions within our small community.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality veterinary care to a variety of animal species
- Perform routine and complex medical procedures under supervision
- Conduct diagnostic tests and interpret results
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Participate in continuing education and professional development
Requirements
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA accredited institution
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Oregon
- Experience in internal medicine preferred but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passing scores on relevant exams such as the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE)

- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new procedures and technologies
Skills
- Proficiency in medical software and electronic health records systems

- Strong organizational and time management skills

Pay
The pay range for this position is $40,000 - $60,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is typically Monday through Friday, with some weekend coverage as needed.
