Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist

About the role

Route 66 Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Center is seeking a Residency-Trained or Boarded Veterinary Internist to establish and grow their Internal Medicine service in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a brand-new Internal Medicine service
• Establish advanced diagnostic capabilities
• Create a collaborative multidisciplinary program
• Shape equipment purchases, workflows, scheduling, and service growth

Requirements

• Residency-trained or board-certified in Veterinary Internal Medicine
• Experience in emergency medicine and critical care
• Strong interest in developing a comprehensive consulting service
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in New Mexico
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Passionate about veterinary medicine and committed to lifelong learning
