About the role

The Animal Specialty and Emergency Center of Brevard is seeking a residency-trained or board-certified Internal Medicine Specialist to join their growing team in Melbourne, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive internal medicine care to a diverse patient population
• Contribute to the hospital’s mission of providing premier diagnostics and therapeutics in a comfortable, compassionate environment
• Collaborate with other specialists and emergency clinicians to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities

Requirements

• Residency training or board certification in Internal Medicine
• Experience in emergency and specialty practice preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Florida
• Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and pathology

Skills

• Strong diagnostic and therapeutic skills
• Effective problem-solving abilities
• Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in medical record keeping and electronic health records systems
