About the role
Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking a Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist to join the South Atlanta Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center's (SAVES) team. SAVES is a 24/7 ER center with robust referral relationships serving the Southern Atlanta community. Located in Fayetteville, Georgia, SAVES offers a blend of small-town charm and big-city excitement.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive internal medicine care to complex cases
- Collaborate with other specialists and technicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Contribute to the ongoing education and training of veterinary students and interns
- Participate in research initiatives and contribute to the Medical Excellence platform
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree
- State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the intended state of employment
- Active DEA license or eligibility for DEA licensure
- Board Certification in Veterinary Internal Medicine or relevant residency training
Qualifications
- Experience in treating complex internal medicine cases
- Strong clinical skills and ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of diseases
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

- Advanced diagnostic and therapeutic skills
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Proficiency in medical writing and documentation
