About the role

Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking a Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist to join the South Atlanta Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center's (SAVES) team. SAVES is a 24/7 ER center with robust referral relationships serving the Southern Atlanta community. Located in Fayetteville, Georgia, SAVES offers a blend of small-town charm and big-city excitement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive internal medicine care to complex cases
  • Collaborate with other specialists and technicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Contribute to the ongoing education and training of veterinary students and interns
  • Participate in research initiatives and contribute to the Medical Excellence platform

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree
  • State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the intended state of employment
  • Active DEA license or eligibility for DEA licensure
  • Board Certification in Veterinary Internal Medicine or relevant residency training

Qualifications

  • Experience in treating complex internal medicine cases
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of diseases
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Advanced diagnostic and therapeutic skills
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities

  • Proficiency in medical writing and documentation
