Veterinary Extern - General Practice

About the role

An externship experience at SAHO Owasso Animal Hospital will provide students with unique insights into the daily operations of a veterinary practice. Students will gain valuable hands-on clinical experience under the supervision of experienced veterinarians.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience in gathering patient histories
• Perform physical exams
• Create treatment plans
• Diagnose and perform diagnostics
• Provide dental services
• Assist or perform surgical procedures
• Manage medical cases
• Practice communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled veterinary students
• Open to learning and participating actively
