Veterinary Extern - General Practice

About the role

An externship experience at Nicollet Veterinary Clinic will provide students with hands-on clinical experience and insight into the daily operations of an NVA hospital.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with supervising Associate Veterinarians
• Gather patient histories
• Perform physical exams
• Create treatment plans
• Diagnose and perform dental services
• Assist or perform surgical procedures
• Manage medical cases
• Practice communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled veterinary students
• Open to students of all class years
• Eligible for a travel/living expense stipend ($1,000 for Nicollet Veterinary Clinic)
