What You’ll Be Accountable For
- Create smooth, efficient clinic operations that support high-quality veterinary care and outstanding client experiences.
- Build, train, and schedule a clinic team that feels supported, prepared, and motivated to do their best work.
- Ensure the Veterinary Clinic consistently meets cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards in alignment with Houston SPCA policies.
- Develop and refine SOPs that make training, workflows, and daily operations clear and consistent.
- Monitor clinic performance through metrics, monthly reporting, and financial insight—including staffing models, pricing considerations, and operational efficiency.
- Serve as a reliable problem-solver for staff and clients, calmly addressing concerns and resolving issues with professionalism and empathy.
- Partner cross-functionally with other Houston SPCA leaders to support organizational growth, community outreach, and events.

The Experience & Skills That Make You Successful
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of management experience in animal welfare, veterinary services, or a related field.
- Strong operational knowledge of clinic workflows, medical protocols, sanitation standards, and animal handling.
- Financial and analytical skills related to staffing, budgets, revenue, and reporting.
- Proven ability to train, mentor, and develop teams.
- Comfortable working flexible or unscheduled hours as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely handle animals with patience and care.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License.
