Veterinary Client Service Referral Coordinator

About the role

Skylos Sports Medicine, a BluePearl Pet Partner, is hiring a Referral Coordinator to manage referrals for assigned specialty services. The role serves as the primary point of contact for referred clients from initial appointment through case closure, ensuring client‑focused, effective management of all referrals.

Responsibilities

• Schedule new appointments for the assigned specialty and ensure DVMs have record of new appointments.
• Resolve any case‑related concerns prior to appointment.
• Maintain assigned specialty service(s) email and follow departmental email triage procedures.
• Gather pertinent information to ensure client understands financial obligations.
• Act as primary point of contact for clients and potential clients in the assigned specialty service(s).
• Perform post‑procedural and post‑surgical phone call follow‑up with clients.
• Receive, process and fill prescription requests, with DVM approval, for assigned specialty services.
• Work with primary DVMs regarding requests and routine questions.
• Provide primary care DVMs bloodwork/test results to keep them informed regarding referred clients.
• Ensure necessary communication regarding treatment is provided timely and documented appropriately.
• Provide support to clinical staff to facilitate the administrative components of clinical referrals for various services.
