Veterinary Assistant/Client Service Representative
About the role
The Animal Clinic of Muskegon is seeking a dedicated and versatile Veterinary Assistant/Client Service Representative to join our team. This dual-role position involves supporting the medical team and the reception staff, ensuring that patients receive top-notch care and clients feel informed, supported, and welcomed.
Responsibilities
- Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry
- Providing safe, gentle patient handling and restraint during outpatient and procedural care
- Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation
- Built positive client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
- Maintaining clean, organized, and fully prepared exam rooms, treatment areas, and procedural spaces
Requirements
- 3+ years of veterinary assistant, animal care, kennel, or related role preferred
- Proficiency in basic veterinary terminology and patient care principles
- Ability to assist with exams, treatments, and outpatient procedures
- Prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Careful, professional communication with clients and team members
- Commitment to exceptional patient care and client service
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of veterinary assistant, animal care, kennel, or related role

Benefits

Pay
$16-19 per hour, for each hour worked. This is a full-time position, with availability needed Monday-Friday, and one Saturday per month. Your schedule will be split with a focus on scheduling as an assistant, and 1-2 days as a CSR.
