Veterinarian - Internist

About the role

BluePearl Veterinary Specialty and 24-Hour Emergency Pet Hospital in Jacksonville is seeking a full-time, boarded or residency-trained Veterinary Internist to join their growing emergency and specialty hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive internal medicine consultations and treatments to hospitalized patients
• Collaborate with surgical and emergency teams to ensure seamless patient care
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans based on clinical findings
• Participate in case rounds and contribute to the ongoing education of junior staff members
• Support the hospital's mission of providing exceptional patient care and fostering a collaborative environment

Requirements

• Board certification or completion of a residency program in veterinary internal medicine
• Current AVMA accreditation
• Experience in emergency and/or specialty practice preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an ACVIM accredited institution
• Current AVMA accreditation
• Passing scores on the AVMA core exams

Pay

$75,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications

Schedule

Full-time position with flexible scheduling to accommodate rotating shifts and weekend coverage
