Veterinarian - Internist

About the role

BluePearl in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a board-certified Veterinarian - Internist or an individual residency-trained in internal medicine to join our state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital. We are looking to expand our current Internal Medicine department due to the high caseload and growth of the service.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive internal medicine care to patients
• Conduct diagnostic tests and interpret results
• Collaborate with other veterinarians and support staff
• Participate in case rounds and consultations
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Teach and mentor veterinary students and interns

Requirements

• Board certification in internal medicine or residency-trained in internal medicine
• Experience in emergency and/or specialty practice preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid Oklahoma State license

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA accredited school
• Current AVMA accreditation
• Passing scores on the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE)
