Chelsea Animal Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Associate Veterinarian to join our collaborative and experienced team. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys a surgery-focused role, with a strong emphasis on soft tissue surgery and dentistry.
Position Overview
This part-time opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who is passionate about surgery and dentistry and enjoys working alongside an experienced and supportive team. The schedule is designed to provide excellent work-life balance while allowing you to focus on surgical excellence and patient care.
What You'll Do
- Perform soft tissue surgical procedures and dental treatments
- Manage surgical cases from pre-operative evaluation through recovery
- Collaborate with veterinarians and support staff to provide exceptional patient care
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding treatment plans and outcomes
- Maintain high standards of surgical protocols, anesthesia monitoring, and patient safety
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented hospital culture

Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Eligible for or currently holds Michigan veterinary license
- Strong interest in small animal medicine and surgery
- Commitment to high-quality patient care and client service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
Preferred Experience
- Active veterinary license in Michigan or eligibility for licensure
- Strong interest and confidence in surgery and dentistry
- Experience performing soft tissue surgical procedures and dental treatments
- Commitment to practicing high-quality medicine
