Responsibilities

• Practice veterinary medicine in its purest form
• Heal, advocate, teach, and lead every day
• Care for an incredibly diverse caseload that includes: Companion animals, Wildlife patients, Farm animals, Cruelty and neglect cases, Occasional exotic species
• Work alongside a dedicated wildlife rehabilitation team
• Mentor veterinary students in the afternoon
• Help rehabilitate a rescued red-tailed hawk
• Diagnose, treat, and support the rehabilitation of a wide variety of species
• Perform high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter surgeries
• Perform elective and non-elective surgical procedures
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Steward controlled substances
• Serve as an ambassador for Houston SPCA and its mission
