Job Summary

We are seeking an amazing doctor to join our dynamic team at Soldotna Animal Hospital, located on the Kenai Peninsula of Alaska. Our hospital has been serving the community since 1999 and is the only site within 250 miles that supports both general practice and emergency medicine.

About the Role

This position offers the flexibility to balance a steady flow of general practice appointments with a growing number of emergency cases. The ideal candidate will be able to utilize their skills in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Responsibilities

• Treatment of a diverse caseload including general practice and emergency medicine
• Participation in ongoing professional development and CE activities
• Collaboration with a dedicated and experienced veterinary team
• Supporting a tight-knit community of animal lovers

Requirements

• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Alaska
• Experience in both general practice and emergency medicine
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
