About the role

Oconomowoc Animal Hospital is seeking a compassionate and collaborative Associate Veterinarian to join their established small animal and exotics practice in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

  • Practice high-quality medicine in a supportive, team-oriented environment
  • Serve the Greater Milwaukee area since 1981
  • Deliver Fear Free veterinary care
  • Maintain a positive culture and sustainable caseload
  • Use modern facilities including digital radiology, ultrasound, laser therapy, and six exam rooms
  • Provide services in small animal and exotic medicine
  • Offer preventive care and wellness services
  • Perform general surgery, veterinary dentistry, and diagnostic imaging
  • Communicate effectively with clients and educate them about their pets' health
  • Make clinical decisions based on best practices
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient and effective care
  • Show compassion and care for patients

Requirements

  • DVM or equivalent degree
  • Wisconsin veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
  • Interest in general practice; all experience levels encouraged to apply
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Compassionate, collaborative, and growth-oriented mindset

Qualifications

  • Experience in small animal and exotic medicine
  • Knowledge of preventative care and wellness
  • Ability to perform general surgery, veterinary dentistry, and diagnostic imaging
