About the role

We are seeking an experienced Relief Veterinarian to join our team. In this position you'll use your superior medical judgment combined with a high level of empathy, confidence and humility to build a loyal client base and heal pets.

Responsibilities

• Provide veterinary care to patients under the supervision of licensed veterinarians.
• Perform routine and emergency medical procedures, including vaccinations, surgeries, and diagnostic tests.
• Assist in patient examinations, consultations, and treatments.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty.
• Participate in staff meetings and continuing education programs to stay updated on best practices and new technologies.

Requirements

• Current California Veterinary Medical License.
• Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AVMA accredited veterinary school.
• Completion of an internship or residency program preferred.
• Knowledge of animal behavior and nutrition.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems.

Pay

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The range for this position is $800 to $1200 for nine hours of receiving and procedures (scheduled 10 hours).

Schedule

The hospital is open six days a week (Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm) with no on-call hours.
