About the role
The Associate Veterinarian is responsible for the medical and surgical care of patients in the exam room and the hospital. This includes maintaining client relationships and effectively communicating the care needs and condition of their pet. Medical records are maintained accurately and legibly, and estimates are presented to clients in advance of care, as appropriate.
Responsibilities

- Present estimates to clients in advance of care, as appropriate.
- Support the hospital leadership and NVA as a member of the management team.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an AVMA-accredited college or have successfully passed the ECFVG certification program or the PAVE certification program.
- Strong communication skills: written, verbal, and listening.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong working knowledge of veterinary medicine.
- Good working knowledge of business practice and accounting.
- Functional computer skills; workable typing ability.
- Able to think rationally and logically; able to make quick, decisive decisions.
- Able to give, receive, and follow directions.
- Able to provide training and support to colleagues and support team members.
- Able to be empathetic and compassionate.
Pay
Base salary of $120,000-$150,000 (dependent on experience)
