About the role
We are seeking Personal Care Aides to provide home care services in the Rocky Mount area.
Responsibilities
- Follow clients' aide plans and complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets
- Encourage self-help and deliver basic personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulating, meal prep (including special diets), feeding assistance, oral hygiene, and transfers using equipment like walkers and wheelchairs
- Maintain safety by following infection control procedures, ensuring a clean environment, and notifying supervisors of safety concerns or client condition changes
- Perform secondary duties including light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation
Qualifications
- High school diploma (preferred)
- At least 6 months of caregiving experience validated through references
- 18 years or older
Skills
- Strong communication
- Attention to safety and confidentiality
- Ability to assist with self-administration of medications (not administering)
- Adherence to scope of practice and policies
Accountability is to the Home Care Manager and staffing supervisor, ensuring quality care, safety, and compliance at all times.
