About the role
We are seeking Personal Care Aides to provide compassionate care in clients' homes, primarily during weekends in the Rocky Mount area.
Responsibilities
- Follow individualized care plans
- Complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets
- Encourage client self-help
- Assist with basic personal care (bathing, grooming, ambulation, feeding, oral hygiene)
- Utilize special equipment such as walkers and wheelchairs
- Maintain safety protocols, infection control, and a clean environment
- Respect client confidentiality and privacy
- Perform secondary duties as needed: light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation aligned with dietary needs
- Monitor client conditions and report any concerns or changes
- Avoid tasks beyond scope, such as medication administration
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 months of validated caregiving experience
- 18 years or older
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Adherence to safety standards
Reporting
This role reports to the Home Care Manager and staffing supervisor, with accountability for delivering quality, respectful care.
