Personal Care Aides provide in-home care services to clients, following individualized care plans and ensuring safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Follow client care plans and complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets.
- Assist clients with personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulation, feeding, oral hygiene, and using mobility aids.
- Encourage client independence and self-help activities.
- Maintain safety protocols, infection control, and a clean environment.
- Perform secondary tasks like laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, and meal preparation as needed.
- Respect client confidentiality, privacy, and rights, ensuring quality care within scope of credentials.
- Assist with medication self-administration and report any safety concerns or changes in condition.
- Notify supervisors of any abuse, neglect, or unsafe environments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred; ability to read/write required.
- Minimum of 6 months caregiving experience validated through references.
- Must be 18 or older.
Skills
- Ability to follow detailed care plans, utilize mobility equipment, adhere to safety and infection control procedures, and communicate effectively.
