About the role

The Sr Project Manager at Henderson is responsible for overseeing and coordinating high-profile and complex projects/programs. This role involves leading project and program teams, managing project budgets and communication, and ensuring project success. The position also includes managing client service and communication, and developing project proposals and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all aspects of project planning, execution, and client experience.
• Manage the development of project proposals, contracts, and project budgets.
• Plan and coordinate project deliverables, delegating as needed.
• Maintain proactive communication with internal and external project stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to budgets and financial expectations.
• Ensure overall project performance and select, manage, and maintain relationships with project sub-consultants.
• Define and manage project quality expectations, develop scope of work and fees for complex projects, and provide technical insight on project production.
• Resolve project conflicts and proactively work with stakeholders to improve client experience.
• Serve as the primary project/program contact and brand ambassador, maintaining regular communication with clients and sub-consultants.
• Develop and establish relationships with strategic partners and clients to gain and expand business opportunities.
• Direct the activities of project/program team members and oversee less experienced Project Managers as needed.
• Advise, coach, and mentor less experienced Designers, Engineers, or Project Managers on project execution and communication.
• Support sector and practice leadership by aligning training, development, and mentoring of project staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, science, technology, or business preferred.
• 4 years of relevant experience within the AEC or Professional Services industry, or 14 years of relevant experience with a minimum of 10 years of project management experience.
• Advanced proficiency in project management standards and execution.
• Advanced knowledge and application of building design and construction principles.
• Project management certification preferred.
• Advanced PE license preferred.
• Self-starter with the ability to influence and motivate others to achieve goals.
• Prioritizes collaboration, communication, and organization skills.
