About the role
Woody Anderson Ford seeks a highly motivated and experienced Automotive Sales Manager to lead our team and drive customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of proven experience in automotive sales management or a similar senior role, with a strong track record of improving customer satisfaction, retention, and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Champion a customer-first sales culture focused on transparency, respect, and value
- Maintain a consistent, professional, and pressure-free buying experience from first contact through vehicle delivery
- Monitor and improve Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), online reviews, and customer retention metrics
- Handle escalated customer concerns promptly and fairly to protect customer trust and dealership reputation
- Lead, coach, and mentor sales consultants to deliver high-quality customer interactions
- Train the team in effective communication, needs-based selling, and ethical sales practices
- Set clear expectations for customer engagement, follow-up, and professionalism
- Conduct regular performance reviews with a strong focus on customer experience behaviors
- Achieve dealership sales volume, gross profit, and market share goals without compromising customer trust
- Structure deals that are fair, compliant, and aligned with dealership and OEM standards
- Balance profitability with long-term customer loyalty and repeat business
- Use performance data and customer feedback to improve sales processes
- Enforce consistent use of CRM and dealership sales processes to ensure timely customer follow-up
- Promote transparency in pricing, documentation, and product presentation
- Collaborate closely with Finance and Insurance (F&I) to ensure a smooth, customer-friendly transition and delivery experience
- Ensure vehicles are clean, accurately priced, and professionally merchandised for customers
- Work with marketing to ensure online listings accurately reflect vehicle condition and features
- Coordinate with service and reconditioning teams to ensure inventory is customer-ready
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as an automotive sales manager or senior dealership sales leader
- Strong understanding of business management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and KPI analysis
- Demonstrated success managing teams, processes, and customer experience metrics
- Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills
