VDI Administrator

Location: Key West, FL Security Clearance: TS Minimum Job Type: Full-Time Target Salary Range*: $170,000-210,000 This represents the potential salary range for this position depending on education level, years of experience and/or certifications in addition to other position specific requirements which may impact salary Position Overview Amatriot seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Administrator to join our team in Key West, FL. This position is on-site 5 days a week. Key Responsibilities Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systemsWork side-by-side with the engineer to maintain and deploy VDI thin clientsWork directly with SCCM/MECM to ensure patching/security compliance is handled and with the Service Desk department to troubleshoot issues with the hardware/softwareKeeping master image and pools update and secured. Implement patches, updates, and configuration changes in coordination with cybersecurity and IT teamsInterface with the customer, gathering requirements and delivering solutions.Troubleshoot VDI-related issues, including user access, performance, connectivity, and software compatibilityMonitor system performance and usage to identify bottlenecks or failure points and recommend improvements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field. A degree can be substituted for additional experience.High School Diploma and 4 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required bachelor’s degreeAssociate’s degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required bachelor’s degreeA master’s degree is equivalent to an additional 2 years of experience and a PhD is equivalent to an additional 4 years of experience5+ years of direct experience supporting VDI environments10+ years of overall IT experience in system administration or related technical rolesExperience with VMware Horizon, Citrix, or other major VDI solutions. Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and networking fundamentalsPreferred Qualifications: Master’s degree or PhD in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.FSLogix and/or HorizonView Client experience preferredVMware Certified Professional (VCP), Citrix Certified Associate (CCA-V), or related certification.
