VDI/Images Systems Administrator

About the role

The VDI/Images Systems Administrator is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting daily remote access technologies. They oversee all administration tools in the Citrix environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides all the necessary support for Citrix Infrastructure.
• Checks and controls the server and offers solutions to its problems.
• Supports and preserves the Virtual Desktop setup of the institution, including AppSense and XenDesktop, XenApp, and others.
• Helps in organizing and managing the business applications.
• Determines increased cases received by the IT Helpdesk.
• Improves and adjusts the Virtual Desktop system.
• Designs and implements platform security.
• Takes part in upgrading and updating the system's applications, installing them with up-to-date descriptions.
• Strengthens the apps, Windows server, and the principal operating system.
• Provides technical assistance for all the servers, desktops, and services that apply business.
• Takes full control and accountability for applying, implementing, maintaining, and examining the documentation of the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.
• Executes helpdesk calls and classifies cases according to their priorities and accelerations.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI + CI Poly clearance.
• BS, 5-7 years of relevant experience; MS, 3-5 years; PhD, 0-2.
• One of the following certifications is required: CASP+, Security+, CISSP, GCED, CISA.
• Proficiency in ITIL and other IT operations frameworks.
• STIG implementation experience.
• RMF knowledge.
• ACAS/Nessus familiarity.

• Citrix Certified Professional – Virtualization (CCP-V)
• Citrix Certified Expert – Virtualization (CCE-V)
• MICROSOFT Certified - Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
• Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
• Windows Server certifications
• VMware VCP (if hybrid)
• Azure Virtual Desktop cert (if cloud VDI)
• Nutanix proficiency
• ITIL 4 Foundation, and other IT operations frameworks.
• CCP-V
• CCE-V

Pay

Target salary range: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00.
