Vascular Sonographer PRN

Responsibilities

• Executes basic clinical competence in vascular sonography across all locations and patient types. Selects accurate equipment and technical factors on an individual patient basis and demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care.
• Applies knowledge of vascular sonography principles and practices, including anatomy and physiology, physics, positioning, and patient care skills. Performs high-level disinfecting procedures to meet organizational infection prevention standards. Adheres to Joint Commission, State, Federal, and departmental regulatory compliance standards.
• Documents accurate patient care activity in various electronic health records systems.
• Ensures a safe and appropriate work environment. Maintains supplies and inventory in the area, informs colleagues when supplies need to be ordered from outside vendors, and documents/reports equipment or environmental problems according to policy.
• Actively participates in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives to enhance workflows, patient experience, and quality. Engages in student and employee training and educational activities.

Requirements

• Graduation from an approved and accredited Ultrasound Educational Program.
• RDMS Certification or CCI certification.
• Basic Vascular Life Support Certification.

Preferred: 1+ years of experience.
