Value Stream Leader/Production Supervisor - Wilkes Barre, PA
Responsibilities
This posiiton is responsible for the overall performance for site departments, value streams, and shifts while interfacing with all levels of the organization to foster the growth our emplyees while continuously improving the safety, quality, delivery, and cost position of the organization while explifying Morgan behavio rs and code.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; degree in a business, technical, engineering or relevant field preferred.
- Five+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing culture and tools.
- Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing.
- Proficeint with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and documentation skills.
- Problem analysis and resolution.
- Proven ability to lead people and drive results in a team environment.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Self-starter, self-motivated, hands-on leader.
- Strong ability to work independently and under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Must have the ability and willingness to succeed in an environment where safety, creativity, commitment, accountability, customer satisfaction, results orientation and continuous improvement are the core values.
- Must be familiar with ERP Systems.
- Must be able to clearly present ideas and reports in written and verbal format.
- Must be able to work well with direct reports, peers and leaders in all departments of the company as well as external contacts.
Physical Requirements
Work performed mostly on the shop floor. Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend, and move about the facility. Exposure to the manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment. Exposure to shop environment such as noise, dust, and odors. Must be capable of reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist up to 40 lbs.
