Production Supervisor

** This role is not open for submission from outside staffing agencies** Production Supervisor $65,000-$75,000 Day Shift: 6am-5pm Night Shift: 3pm-2am Trulite is GROWING! We are looking for Production Supervisor to be based at our Orlando, Florida location. The Production Supervisor would monitor and coordinate plant floor activities throughout the shift, keeping on schedule and minimizing back orders. The production crew usually works 10-12 hours. Supervise assigned employees as well as properly train all new hire employees that join the Trulite Team. Ensure that all product that is produced meets the company standards and address any issues that may come up throughout production. What Will You Do Conveys Management’s expectations and direction.Responsible for training, directing, and motivating employees and making recommendations to Management on their behalf.In conjunction with the Production Manager, supervises and coordinates plant floor activities of workers in the manufacturing processes of cutting, tempering, laminating, fabricating, polishing, insulated glass or loading glass products.Assists in overseeing and or conducting training of new and existing employees to include work methods and procedures, safety training and following employee handbook guidelines.Inspects products to verify conformance to Company specifications and Directs setup and adjustments of machinesAssist Production Manager with providing employees with timely and accurate feedback of performance reviews, disciplinary problems, material shortages, and equipment problems etc. when required or appropriate.Participation in interviewing, hiring, and terminations of Employees as neededRetention, training, and continued development of hourly associatesInterface with team members on a daily basis and act as the first line of command in resolving problems and maintaining efficient, orderly workflow.Ensuring on-time delivery, management of the flow of raw materials and control of inventoryAdherence to product and customer specificationsCompliance with all required Employment Laws and OSHA regulations and policiesAccurate and timely production reportingMaintaining appropriate working relationships with internal and external customers and regulatory agency employeesCreating and maintaining a plant floor environment that promotes safety and the safe operation of the entire processContinued assessment of cost reduction opportunities through the utilization of resources to remove process costs, improve efficiencies, and develop creative staffing strategiesExperience in 5S and Lean manufacturing knowledgeMaintain and improve high-quality levels by ensuring that all work processes are performed correctly and accurately Skills You Bring High School Diploma and two (2) year degree preferredMinimum of Three (3) years of plant supervisory experience.At least five (5) years’ experience in an Architectural Glass Manufacturing environment-tempering and fabrication experience preferred.Experience leading teams of 5+ people.Experience with basic lean/problem solving tools - 5S, 5-why, root cause analysis. Experience working with performance metrics and initiating action plans.Experience developing employees through coaching and training.
